I went to check thing here on my blog and what happened..over a month ago I was here wow...This working thing really puts a dent into my scrapbooking....well I am still getting pages done but I am not able to blog about them....
Today in the mail I recived my new Scrapbook ECT and now I am starting to fell really really behind...It was all Christmas and thats fine with me but...it just makes me think I had better get to doing my Christmas stuff and forget all alout Halloween and Thanksgiving....
Lots of others stuff going on....on the dog front...Vito our Seeing Eye Puppy #16 went back last week....and we have a new foster puppy....Maverick he is a 6 month old male Husky...looking for a forever home....well thats it for now because all the dogs are quite and that must mean they all are into something BAD

You spend the morning scrapbooking....The phone rang 5:30 AM...."No School" today flooded roads...heavy rains....buses cant pick up the kids...that means no school no lunch...ARTastic challenge blog...have not done a layout in a while so when I saw this months challenge I wanted to give it a try..So here it is...thanks for looking and have a great day.

I am trying really hard to get a few last layouts done before the end of August is over. But first I have a few things rolling around in my head...It has to do with my thoughts on "scrapbooking". I love pictures and I try real hard to scrap as many of these photos as I can...I have been know to even scrap the same photos many times but this is ok with me...Some layouts I will keep on working on till it is a "masterpiece" and other layouts I am fine with the "less is more" idea..I have many albums going, many photos to scrap I no longer worry about what others will say about my layouts I scrap for me....this makes me happy...
NOw with all that said...Here is a layout I just finished...It started by a challenge....this is one of those pictures I think I used in atleast 3 or 4 layouts already...but this picture my daughter played around with the color and because of that color the picture fit the challenge. But most of all I am happy with this layout... it makes me happy...simple and to the point...Sometimes a picture is enough, it can tell a story on its own,

This layout just makes me smile...I am prretty sure I already scraped this photo but for some reason I had about 3 copies of this whole group of Photos my Daughter sent me...The challenge was to use one photo with a tree....pink pattered paper....2 pieces of trip oh and use a splash of yellow....When I read the challenge I knew just the photo for this challenge...go check them out...you still have a few more days to get them done...

I think we are ready...water...food....candles....flashlights....all good....just waiting to see if I will need to move my scrapbooking to higher ground later on tonight...in the meantime I did a layout for Sketches in Thyme "open" challenge

I love this picture of our little Aubrey look at those little toes and her smile...she is always smiling...Love ya Aubrey hard to believe you started out as a preemie...

Well it's a Thursday so that means a bunch of new sketches are up. Here is my take on the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays 8/25 I always take photos of my flowers and my garden. I enjoy summer so much and I truly love having off all summer long....

I am hoping to get a few more sketches done this morning and then it's off to the kitchen to bake some cookies for us and make my fur babies some more treats.

All I can say is WOW what a storm we had yesterday...Picture a 95 pound golden trying to crawl inside me...My Boomer was scared to death...more storms are forcasted for today also....Great....in the meanwhile I find myself in the basement scrapbooking while the dogs are sleeping out on the back porch..

I plan on starting Week In The LIFE.....Ali Edwards... I printed out all the pages and I am gathering all my supplies I will need...camera....pen....paper....file folder to collect all things of my daily life for next week....No stress...no worries...that's how I am going to roll with this....I am going to really try hard to capture the "things" that might otherwise go un-noticed....My plan now...but it could change...is to add this "week" to my 365 daily album....well see...

Get Picky challenge #9
What inspired me was the colors of the movie poster...See Huskies have blue eyes and that was enough for me. I wanted to do a layout about the new kid..Her name is Alexa I am not sure how long we will have her because she is looking for forever HOME. She is our first foster husky we have had. She is a real sweet girl and I am sure she will find a HOME soon..until then she has a HOME with us. and who knows maybe I can talk my husband into making her ours...

Well lazy if you are one of my dogs....they are all just chillin out with me all 5 of them laying on the floor under my scrapbooking table...man to be a dog in this house....This morning I am just looking around at different blogs I am always looking for neat handmade things to scrap with...Purple Pumpkin go check them out they are having a big give a way..real cute buttons they would look pretty cute on some projects..I have a few projects in mind for today I really want to finish my 12 x 12 frames for the livinging..My plan is to change out the layouts with the seasons..I had better get summer up on the wall before we go back to school...I have my saying up on the wall and 3 photo frames need to go get somemore of those velcro 3m wall hanging things they are the best...well thats it for now...have a good day..

I am hoping to spend a good part of my day in my scraproom...The kids went back to MD and our new Husky, Alexa, is at the vet getting spayed so the day is all mine until I have to pick her up. The first day of my SUMMER vacation...and so far I spent it scrapin..My goal is to get as many pictures scraped as I can...Everyday it seems like I get more & more pictures so I really need to keep up.. I just LOVE this layout..it makes me SMILE..
Anytime someone is eating something little miss Shelby is right there. Look how she is looking at Gabe...her little face is just saying..."I LOVE you"..."please give me a bite" gotta love having dogs & grandkids...Life is good!!!!
Now about now I made this layout..I broke out some paints for this one...First I painted the brown onto some old Grunge board and used it as a stamp...then I hand cut my heart and painted it blue this anchored the photos. Used my Cricut (paper pups)to cut the title and paw print. Simple and to the point..Thanks for stopping by.

My stitching is around the hearts to make them pop just a bit. By now my family has come to expect me always thinking about scrapbooking...From saving strange things that could be used for scrapbooking to staging a photo shot for some paper I have at home....I cant help it...I am a "scrapbooker"...On Saturday a store down in Hershey was having a yardsale so I told the hubby I wanted to go..I found some pretty good deals and of course while there I had to pick up some paper. As soon as I saw the Little Red Riding hood paper...A light bulb went off in my brain...KING our Husky...So many times when we take him out every ones always comments on his "eyes" and when kids see him they think he is a wolf...so you have to see how my brain worked....Big eyes...wolf looking....well anyway I did this layout for Sketchy Thursdays

After work My plans are to take King our big husky boy to get a bath...hopefully he will loose some of his winter fur and make him a bit cooler..
On to scrapbooking this morning I finished up on a layout my plan for this one is I have a few 12x12 wooden frames I want to hang in the livingroom and change them up like the seasons. I just love the face on Gabe he is just too cute and he loves getting his picture made too. My layout is based on a sketch that is up this week over at Sketch Support Sketch #9..

How are you doing today? The garden is planed...the mulch is all spread....flowers planted too...then the rain came...the weatherman says it's going to rain till Saturday...It's good for the grassseed and the gardens....nevermind that the grass will need to be cut twice a week ....In the scraping world I been busy trying to get some stuff done and sent in for different Design Team spots and keeping up with challenges...Soon school will be over and I will have more time to scrap....
A break in the rain yesterday gave me a chance to take some photos of the outside...

Do you ever stand back and look at your project when your finished and say to yourself..."Self...I like this...good job"....I do sometimes...the dogs just look at me like who are you talking to???? Any way...I am very happy the way my layout turned out... and not just because of the cute little baby in the picture but for a few reasons... First I used some really older Basic Grey paper that I had in my stash ....that's always a good thing..I like it when I do something kind of "artsy" to me this is a bit artsy. Busy busy weekend...First things first... I did this layout this morning Blue & Orange were the colors for a challenge at The Moments.

Little Brookie has a bib that says..."They have not made a button that is cute as me"
That made me think of doing a layout with buttons and being cute...So Cute as a button is this layout.I did this layout for this weeks sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. This is Brooke on Easter morning waiting to start her First Easter. Here little dress was so cute Her Mommy was very happy that the day was kind of warm so she did not have to cover that pretty little dress up with a heavy coat.

I don't know what it is about having a short week....but it seems a lot longer than 4days of working....

It's time for another Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs this week...Dots & Stripes. Here is my layout for this weeks challenge.

I went through my scrap pile and found these papers from a project I did last year...I thought they matched my photo the papers had some dots and some stripes so I was very happy. The single photo is of my daughter and granddaughter taken on Easter morning at Lock Ridge Park. Little Brooke is getting so big and she is just the sweetest baby ever. Well that's it for now getting ready for a busy weekend...I should say a busy DOG filled weekend...several dog events are in store for us this weekend hope the weather holds out and not too hot for the Huskies walk on Sunday.

Our Easter vacation starts today...and we have lots planned....lots to do...If the rain holds off we are going to the ZOO later this moring. Then the EGGS are waiting to be colored...making some cupcakes and maybe some more dog treats too...

My post today I think will have lots in it....First my update on my 365 daily life
Week 2 is done and in the album....So far I am happy with the way it is turning out...I am sure When we look at this album even next year it will be nice to have...

We took the kids for a photo s shoot...Gabes third birthday....new baby Hannha's first photo session and the whole family....

I finished up on this layout I was working on...It's Papa John and Brooke...Papa John does not like to HOLD the little ones when they are little...So we sesized the moment and ploped Brooke right next to Papa John while he was not looking...He was doing some bowling stuff on his coumpter...Brooke looks like she is helping him...

Lastly a few words about the dumb robbin who is trying to find a HOME for her eggs...
I noticed "stuff" laying on the cellar door the other day...then this morning I saw all the dogs looking up then I went out, with my camera, and there she is making a nest right on top of the power lines coming into the back of the house...Her babies when they fall out of the nest better hope the dogs are in the house....any way thats it for now....Gotta go get ready for the Easter Vacation....

What to do with all these pictures???

My pictures that I have had printed are really starting to build up...with 4 grandkids, many trips to Disney, Wedding pictures, and the dog photos not to forget about my daily life photos...I have a ton of unscraped photos...
So my plan for these upscraped photos....I look at the events/day find the ones I want to scrap I put them in a folder along with some ideas on a title or just thoughts on those photos. The folder then goes into a tub so that later I can grab it when I want to scrap some older photos.... I had a challenge due...so I went to that tub and found pictures from my daughters wedding back in June of 2008. The challenge is at The Moments Scrap A Tune I did a search for wedding/dancing music I found what I think is the perfect song for my photos...We are Family..every wedding plays it...to me these photos are priceless I am so happy that I finally got around to scraping them.

Then the pictures of the newest baby...I do not have many pictures of little Hannah I was at HOME taking care of her brother & sister I did manage to snap these of her. A picture of Daddy holding the new baby...Gabe & Aubrey checking her out..Welcome to the world little miss Hannah this is your very first layout. My 365 is coming along nicely...keeping up barley...here is a layout I did this morning for The Moments Color challenge. Green & Purple....When I was looking at photos trying to pick one out....came across this one...Little Miss Brookie has purple on so I thought it would be a perfect fit...

Given lost of thought on my 365 I am going to update and catch up on the weekends much too susy to try to work on that everyday but I am taking pictures collecting things to add to my album...

Over at The Moments I started a sort of challenge mostly for myself to do my take on a 365 daily album...I planned to start it April first..well I did start it but already fallen behind...I have take the photos did the journaling and a few things have made it into the albumbut I have not take picutes of my album so far...I think I am going to up date my progress each weekend when the week is over....today I did a layout for a challenge a scraplift challenge go check it out...Now my layout looks nothing like the one we were to copy but thats ok wiht me...I got another layout done for Brookes first year album...

Bling....Bling....Bling.....Today over at Frosted Designs it's all about the Bling...
Here is my project ...I had these 2 photos on my desk for a few months now...waiting to be scraped....then I said to myself.... I think I have a stamp that would go just perfect with these photo...add a little Bling and call it done...

By this afternoon I should be a grandmother for the fourth time...My son and his wife went into the hospital early this morning to have little Hannah. Pictures to follow as soon as I get to the hospital.

I feel like we should be singing..."The weather outside is frightful" I was just outside and it is sleeting/snowing/freezing rain a big old yuck...Tomorrow this time We should have little baby Hannah born...He parents are going into the hospital tomorrow morning at 5:30 am...More baby pictures to come....

This layout today was for a sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme. I have been making an effort to make sure I use Cricket as often as I can..Todays layout is Gabe at Christmas last year. We bought him a little wooden train set...He loved it. I just love this photo of him laying on his side playing with his train....choo....choo....making his little sounds as he played. A simple little wooden toy....That's happiness to a little boy. And great joy to his Nonnie.

The first full day of spring and its raining..it's good for the flowers...Speaking of flowers over at The Moments a Diecut challenge was to make 5 flowers for a layout...
I have to tell you I looked around my space thinking what to use to make my flowers...I came up with fabric torn into different strips...and reinkers and Easter Egg cups ya know the ones you put the dye in to color eggs....well I colored my fabric strips...

and here are the flowers all done and on the layout....

The calendar says SPRING but it's still cold..Ice on the dog water....
Today I am goign to show you my Easter Mini Album I made...It's a "paperbag" album. It's almost finished when I add this years Easter photos I will add more fun stuff to it but here it is so far....

To get started you could use some of this:

Paper lunch bags (I used 5),paper trimmer, Exacto knife, chipboard I used an empty cereal box, inks, glue...Now pick out somepaper and your ready to go.
First I tore the open ends of the paperbags just ot give it a ruff edge. Cut 2 pieces of chipboard just a littl bigger than you paperbags.The FRONT cover see that "flap" on the bottom of the paperbag cut one of your chipboard pieces that size like this.
Cutting this will let your album cover fold..Leave the other chipboard piece whole this is the back cover.
Now cover all 3 pieces of chipboard front & back with the paper you picked...I use Modge Podge..Dont forget to sand the edges and INK them...
Stack the bags on tp of each other glueing the bottoms together.

Take that stack of bags glue it to your inside back cover. Then on the front take that small piece of chipboard glue it to the left side on top of the paperbags.

Then take the other chipboard glue to the front leaving a tiny space so the album will open.

Now to the inside..I cut a 2 1/2 inch strip of pattered paper put it in the middle of the bag.I used the same print in the whole album.

Now for the inside I made sort of a tag to slide in the open end of the paperbag.
I cut a whole bunch of cute little Easter things to add to my album when I have my photos from this Easter. The best thing about this album you can add as many bags as you would like...Have fun making this album and dont forget take that camera out of the bag and get some great Easter/Spring shots...Thanks for looking at my Easter album and I hope I inspired you to make one of your own..

Today over at Frosted Designs it's all about Banners.. This is my banner project for this week. I wanted to make a kind of mini album Pockets on the back hold photo. This will make a cute addition to all my Easter Crafts. I think it's going on my window sil or maybe as an Easter Gift for someone...How Go check out all the banners and then show us your banner..

That's for sure...PLAY is fun...Sometimes I find myself so busy trying to get different projects finished, that I forget to relax and have fun...let my inner kid just PLAY....So today over at The Moments the mid month challenges are up and my challenge is "just play" Now when I think of playing so from time to time I will PLAY around and make all kinds of stuff not knowing what I will use them for but knowing that they will get used someday....So my challenge is to pull out your diecut machines, your punches, those Stickles, even those paints and inks...
Here are a few things that I made. I like to keep them in a box and when I need that little something to finish a layout I look trough this box.

I have all these SNOW pictures to scrap still so I thought I had better get them scraped now before the warm weather gets here...Today SNOW layout is a modge podge of this and that...Paper from a paper pad I bought this season, pulled out the paints and tattered angles misting sprays used an old border punch did some fake hand stitching a litle doddeling on the page hand cut some paper pieces and this is what ya get...I'm happy with it...so what are you doing today??? is it raining or snowing at your house? I am sorry for being a bit behind with my blog...But LIFE sometimes gets in the way....Like always I am working on several different projects...Yesterday I found out that the BIG UPDATE for my Cricut Imagine & Gypsy was a go...so right now I am doing my updates and I cant not wait to play with the to machines together....
Took my camera class over the weekend and learned lots of things now I hope I will remember how and why to use everything I learned...

My BIG news is......I have been choosen to be part of the Design Team over at Frosted Designs I can not wait to get started I am part of a Friday team so my first project will be up this Friday March 4 go check it out. This is going to be so much fun...Now on to my "project" I was telling ya about this morning...The more I though about it the more I know it will be a "work in progress" once I finish the "box" and give to my daughter I plan on making little things for Brookes first year....Ok now onto the photos....

A rainy Monday

I guess it's better than SNOW...maybe the rain will wash away all the salt and yuck on the roads...Also yesterday I saw a few of my spring flowers starting to poke up from the cold dirt...I have started a HUGE project this morning...Don't know why I did not think of it before but It just came to me this morning...Not really sure what to call it. It is a round hat box my plan is that this will be a work in progress..Its for my daughter for Brookes things. Nicole is a scraper also so she can fill it with cute little stuff like photos or whatever. From time to time I will also make things to add to this... I think I might go with ABC...123 theme.
I will post some photos later this afternoon along with some BIG news I have....I am so excited cant wait till I get home from work and I can share these things with you...Till then have a good morning and see ya later..

I am so glad that it is Friday....It is raining like crazy out this morning the skies are dark the snow is melted from the backyard and that can only mean one thing.... MUD lots of MUD.....Oh well on the bright side all this rain and the melting snow the Spring flowers will soon be poking their heads from under the ground. On to some scrapin stuff.... over at The Moments everyone is trying to finish up on the challenges I did the OLW challenge yesterday...the word is ONLY this month.. sure with the month of February I could have gone all lovey dovey but instead I went with The ONLY girl....Our 12 year old female Husky Shelby...poor girl lives in a house of all big brut male dogs....but dont let that sweet little face fool ya....she holds her own....and I will tell ya she is the alph dog in this house....

Second day of Feb. and yet another snowday and off of school..I have been thinking....we all know Feburary is the month of LOVE...so keeping with that theme I am doing layouts today all about the things I LOVE......

Looking back at the last couple of posting I have done...Its all about SNOW....COLD.....More SNOW.....More COLD.....and well today is nothing new.....More snow but not at COLD..oh wel that the life when you life in the northeast....Our Huskies are lovin the snow...I have been walking KING on a 25 foot lead he goes up and down all the SNOW piles he LOVES it...he is one HAPPY HUSKY....Shelby she is happy just walking....sure she goes in the snow but she would rather not get in the deep stuff....

The past few weeks have been a bit crazy...3 snowdays off of school...baby Brooke 3 weeks old...My scrapin weekend has come and gone..They took Brooke to get her photo taken I can not wait to scrap some of these photos...with all that has been going on all the photos I have I should have a busy scrapin winter..and with the weather forcast it looks like I might have off a few more days in the next week..this is ok with me....Now I leave you with a few pictures and I will try to get some of the layouts I did over the weekend posted...

Finally..the last day of school/work then it's time to celebrate, hurry up, relax, wait, eat, shop,and wrap. All of this in just 2 days...I am feeling strong...I can do this....Last night the kids came over for dinner...Gabe and Aubrey are growing so fast and if I do say so myself they are pretty cute...Oh course I grab my camera and just start taking pictures....after taking about a dozen of so I said..." every single photo I take have some sort of dog body part in it".....oh well to me the best way to get a good photo ya gotta get down on the ground with the kids and well that's where to dogs hang out too....dog hair, baby drool that's what you will have at our house....Still waiting on Nicole to call us with any kind of baby news...well gotta get ready for work until later here are a few pictures from last night...

When you came to us you were this little ball of fur...now look at you you have become such a good looking shepard boy....We always knew you would make a good Seeing Eye Dog....sweet, condfinted, easing going, soft hearted , all the qualites needed to make a good Seeing eye Dog...Brian your tainer is very please with your training and you shold go into this next class in Janunary...maybe a college student, maybe a lawyer, maybe a homemaker with grandkids...where ever you go you will be a great help to them...Miss ya buddy Love Mom

Over at The Momentsscrap a books,photos,papercrafting,stamping, blog I do a challenge each 15 of the month. This month I did a brown paper lunch bag and turn it into a Christmas Gift Bag...nothing special not too fancy just something to put some homemade goodies in for my co-workers...So go check them out lots of great challengs all month long to keep you inspired.

WOW this is just a crazy busy time of the year....sometimes I think I pass myself sometimes..yesterday I was going out to dinner with some of my scrapy friends when I backed out of the driveway and started to drive away I saw KING looking out the window...I just had to stop the JEEP get out and take his picture...I think I am going to scrap this photo and title it Looking for SANTA......so sometimes in all this crazyness it's nice to slow down and notice the small things in life....have a great day...
