12 days and counting...

yep just 12 days of school to go....let summer begin....I think this summer will be action pack and not a dull moment... Hopefuly a NEW kitchen/ dinning room addition will be started and complet...On the dog front the herd has grown by one husky. Frankie..he is our newest addition to the herd. we he is "looking" for his furever home but I am really thinking about keeping this one....just look at that face.....who could blame me for keeping him he is sweet, very well behaved...cute cute cute.....

My how time does fly

I went to check thing here on my blog and what happened..over a month ago I was here wow...This working thing really puts a dent into my scrapbooking....well I am still getting pages done but I am not able to blog about them....
Today in the mail I recived my new Scrapbook ECT and now I am starting to fell really really behind...It was all Christmas and thats fine with me but...it just makes me think I had better get to doing my Christmas stuff and forget all alout Halloween and Thanksgiving....
Lots of others stuff going on....on the dog front...Vito our Seeing Eye Puppy #16 went back last week....and we have a new foster puppy....Maverick he is a 6 month old male Husky...looking for a forever home....well thats it for now because all the dogs are quite and that must mean they all are into something BAD

When life gives you a rainy day......

You spend the morning scrapbooking....The phone rang 5:30 AM...."No School" today flooded roads...heavy rains....buses cant pick up the kids...that means no school no lunch...ARTastic challenge blog...have not done a layout in a while so when I saw this months challenge I wanted to give it a try..So here it is...thanks for looking and have a great day.

Trying to beat the deadline

I am trying really hard to get a few last layouts done before the end of August is over. But first I have a few things rolling around in my head...It has to do with my thoughts on "scrapbooking". I love pictures and I try real hard to scrap as many of these photos as I can...I have been know to even scrap the same photos many times but this is ok with me...Some layouts I will keep on working on till it is a "masterpiece" and other layouts I am fine with the "less is more" idea..I have many albums going, many photos to scrap I no longer worry about what others will say about my layouts I scrap for me....this makes me happy...
NOw with all that said...Here is a layout I just finished...It started by a challenge....this is one of those pictures I think I used in atleast 3 or 4 layouts already...but this picture my daughter played around with the color and because of that color the picture fit the challenge. But most of all I am happy with this layout... it makes me happy...simple and to the point...Sometimes a picture is enough, it can tell a story on its own,

This layout just makes me smile...I am prretty sure I already scraped this photo but for some reason I had about 3 copies of this whole group of Photos my Daughter sent me...The challenge was to use one photo with a tree....pink pattered paper....2 pieces of trip oh and use a splash of yellow....When I read the challenge I knew just the photo for this challenge...go check them out...you still have a few more days to get them done...

Just a waiting game

I think we are ready...water...food....candles....flashlights....all good....just waiting to see if I will need to move my scrapbooking to higher ground later on tonight...in the meantime I did a layout for Sketches in Thyme "open" challenge

I love this picture of our little Aubrey look at those little toes and her smile...she is always smiling...Love ya Aubrey hard to believe you started out as a preemie...

What to do on this rainy Thursday

Well it's a Thursday so that means a bunch of new sketches are up. Here is my take on the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays 8/25 I always take photos of my flowers and my garden. I enjoy summer so much and I truly love having off all summer long....

I am hoping to get a few more sketches done this morning and then it's off to the kitchen to bake some cookies for us and make my fur babies some more treats.

Summer vacation is almost over

Just about 2 weeks left of my summer vacation...and I still have a few things on my "to do" list....oh well I still have 2 weeks....

Not for a challenge...not for a contest....just for the fun of it....I have so many photos of Brooke that I really need to use more that just ONE photo per layout.

Oh I almost forgot It's the August 15 that means the new challenges are up over at The Moments go check them out...thats where I am heading next to hopefully do some more scraping on this rainy day..

Rainy Sunday....

All I can say is WOW what a storm we had yesterday...Picture a 95 pound golden trying to crawl inside me...My Boomer was scared to death...more storms are forcasted for today also....Great....in the meanwhile I find myself in the basement scrapbooking while the dogs are sleeping out on the back porch..

I had to sent my Cricut machine back to the factory a few weeks ago...Then yesterday
the doorbell rang and it was my Cricut...So I got busy first thing this morning getting it out of the box and hooking that baby up....Made a few cuts with a new cart I bought last week...Here is my take on this weeks sketch...

Over at Sketches in Thyme I got a top 3 mention for the month of July....I love love love this layout....makes me smile...thanks to my cute little subject....now off to do some more scrapin today....I have no plans..no where to be...just me and the dogs till it's time to fix supper......
My plan is to do a few challenges....go though so old photos and make a coupon holder for me to take in my purse...

It's been a a little...

Yes I know it's been a little bit since I blogged....I have not even really scraped very much the past week...too busy doing family stuff...

Yet another project to do......

I plan on starting Week In The LIFE.....Ali Edwards... I printed out all the pages and I am gathering all my supplies I will need...camera....pen....paper....file folder to collect all things of my daily life for next week....No stress...no worries...that's how I am going to roll with this....I am going to really try hard to capture the "things" that might otherwise go un-noticed....My plan now...but it could change...is to add this "week" to my 365 daily album....well see...

Feels like HOME

Get Picky challenge #9
What inspired me was the colors of the movie poster...See Huskies have blue eyes and that was enough for me. I wanted to do a layout about the new kid..Her name is Alexa I am not sure how long we will have her because she is looking for forever HOME. She is our first foster husky we have had. She is a real sweet girl and I am sure she will find a HOME soon..until then she has a HOME with us. and who knows maybe I can talk my husband into making her ours...

It's a lazy kind of day ...

Well lazy if you are one of my dogs....they are all just chillin out with me all 5 of them laying on the floor under my scrapbooking table...man to be a dog in this house....This morning I am just looking around at different blogs I am always looking for neat handmade things to scrap with...Purple Pumpkin go check them out they are having a big give a way..real cute buttons they would look pretty cute on some projects..I have a few projects in mind for today I really want to finish my 12 x 12 frames for the livinging..My plan is to change out the layouts with the seasons..I had better get summer up on the wall before we go back to school...I have my saying up on the wall and 3 photo frames need to go get somemore of those velcro 3m wall hanging things they are the best...well thats it for now...have a good day..

What a lovely day
