My how time does fly

I went to check thing here on my blog and what happened..over a month ago I was here wow...This working thing really puts a dent into my scrapbooking....well I am still getting pages done but I am not able to blog about them....
Today in the mail I recived my new Scrapbook ECT and now I am starting to fell really really behind...It was all Christmas and thats fine with me but...it just makes me think I had better get to doing my Christmas stuff and forget all alout Halloween and Thanksgiving....
Lots of others stuff going on....on the dog front...Vito our Seeing Eye Puppy #16 went back last week....and we have a new foster puppy....Maverick he is a 6 month old male Husky...looking for a forever home....well thats it for now because all the dogs are quite and that must mean they all are into something BAD

When life gives you a rainy day......

You spend the morning scrapbooking....The phone rang 5:30 AM...."No School" today flooded roads...heavy rains....buses cant pick up the kids...that means no school no lunch...ARTastic challenge blog...have not done a layout in a while so when I saw this months challenge I wanted to give it a try..So here it is...thanks for looking and have a great day.

Trying to beat the deadline

I am trying really hard to get a few last layouts done before the end of August is over. But first I have a few things rolling around in my head...It has to do with my thoughts on "scrapbooking". I love pictures and I try real hard to scrap as many of these photos as I can...I have been know to even scrap the same photos many times but this is ok with me...Some layouts I will keep on working on till it is a "masterpiece" and other layouts I am fine with the "less is more" idea..I have many albums going, many photos to scrap I no longer worry about what others will say about my layouts I scrap for me....this makes me happy...
NOw with all that said...Here is a layout I just finished...It started by a challenge....this is one of those pictures I think I used in atleast 3 or 4 layouts already...but this picture my daughter played around with the color and because of that color the picture fit the challenge. But most of all I am happy with this layout... it makes me happy...simple and to the point...Sometimes a picture is enough, it can tell a story on its own,

This layout just makes me smile...I am prretty sure I already scraped this photo but for some reason I had about 3 copies of this whole group of Photos my Daughter sent me...The challenge was to use one photo with a tree....pink pattered paper....2 pieces of trip oh and use a splash of yellow....When I read the challenge I knew just the photo for this challenge...go check them out...you still have a few more days to get them done...

Just a waiting game

I think we are ready...water...food....candles....flashlights....all good....just waiting to see if I will need to move my scrapbooking to higher ground later on tonight...in the meantime I did a layout for Sketches in Thyme "open" challenge
I went with Tiffany and her layout choice from Once upon a Sketch.
I love this picture of our little Aubrey look at those little toes and her smile...she is always smiling...Love ya Aubrey hard to believe you started out as a preemie...

What to do on this rainy Thursday

Well it's a Thursday so that means a bunch of new sketches are up. Here is my take on the sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays 8/25 I always take photos of my flowers and my garden. I enjoy summer so much and I truly love having off all summer long....

I am hoping to get a few more sketches done this morning and then it's off to the kitchen to bake some cookies for us and make my fur babies some more treats.

Summer vacation is almost over

Just about 2 weeks left of my summer vacation...and I still have a few things on my "to do" list....oh well I still have 2 weeks....

Not for a challenge...not for a contest....just for the fun of it....I have so many photos of Brooke that I really need to use more that just ONE photo per layout.

Oh I almost forgot It's the August 15 that means the new challenges are up over at The Moments go check them out...thats where I am heading next to hopefully do some more scraping on this rainy day..

Rainy Sunday....

All I can say is WOW what a storm we had yesterday...Picture a 95 pound golden trying to crawl inside me...My Boomer was scared to death...more storms are forcasted for today also....Great....in the meanwhile I find myself in the basement scrapbooking while the dogs are sleeping out on the back porch..

I had to sent my Cricut machine back to the factory a few weeks ago...Then yesterday
the doorbell rang and it was my Cricut...So I got busy first thing this morning getting it out of the box and hooking that baby up....Made a few cuts with a new cart I bought last week...Here is my take on this weeks sketch...

Over at Sketches in Thyme I got a top 3 mention for the month of July....I love love love this layout....makes me smile...thanks to my cute little subject....now off to do some more scrapin today....I have no plans..no where to be...just me and the dogs till it's time to fix supper......
My plan is to do a few challenges....go though so old photos and make a coupon holder for me to take in my purse...

It's been a a little...

Yes I know it's been a little bit since I blogged....I have not even really scraped very much the past week...too busy doing family stuff...

Yet another project to do......

I plan on starting Week In The LIFE.....Ali Edwards... I printed out all the pages and I am gathering all my supplies I will need...camera....pen....paper....file folder to collect all things of my daily life for next week....No stress...no worries...that's how I am going to roll with this....I am going to really try hard to capture the "things" that might otherwise go un-noticed....My plan now...but it could change...is to add this "week" to my 365 daily album....well see...

Feels like HOME

Get Picky challenge #9
What inspired me was the colors of the movie poster...See Huskies have blue eyes and that was enough for me. I wanted to do a layout about the new kid..Her name is Alexa I am not sure how long we will have her because she is looking for forever HOME. She is our first foster husky we have had. She is a real sweet girl and I am sure she will find a HOME soon..until then she has a HOME with us. and who knows maybe I can talk my husband into making her ours...

It's a lazy kind of day ...

Well lazy if you are one of my dogs....they are all just chillin out with me all 5 of them laying on the floor under my scrapbooking table...man to be a dog in this house....This morning I am just looking around at different blogs I am always looking for neat handmade things to scrap with...Purple Pumpkin go check them out they are having a big give a way..real cute buttons they would look pretty cute on some projects..I have a few projects in mind for today I really want to finish my 12 x 12 frames for the livinging..My plan is to change out the layouts with the seasons..I had better get summer up on the wall before we go back to school...I have my saying up on the wall and 3 photo frames need to go get somemore of those velcro 3m wall hanging things they are the best...well thats it for now...have a good day..

What a lovely day

to scrapbook...all my dogs are sleeping at my feet while I am scrapbooking the day away. Sketches in Thyme Sketch #51 here is my take on this weeks sketch. We had a little photo shoot the other day at a local park. I am very happy with the pictures..flowers and babies...does not get much better than that..

It's hot...humid...muggy out already and it is only 9am....Today I wanted to do scrapin pretty much all day...so here is my first layout I did...

Lock me in my room..

I am hoping to spend a good part of my day in my scraproom...The kids went back to MD and our new Husky, Alexa, is at the vet getting spayed so the day is all mine until I have to pick her up. The past few days we had lots of picture taking going on..now the fun part...picking the photos to have printed. Here are just a few from the past few days.

HAPPY 4th of JULY

Scrapin has been put on the back bunner...the kids are home and we have been busy just having fun..Alexa has arrived she is our little female husky girl. She came to us from a friend of a friend who was helping a freind place some of his dogs after a unexpected death of his wife...We are hoping to find Alexa a HOME we are working with MaPa husky group. Here she is....

Life is Grand....

That's today's theme....Grand for so many reasons...Grand because of all the grand kids we have...Grand because I get to have off all summer...Grand because I get to help save some wonderful special dogs...Grand because I get to scrapbook nearly everyday. Speaking of scrapbooking here is my latest layout...It's from Sketches in Thyme the open challenge...This time I used the sketch from Valerie... My layout is called Life is Grand....

It is open challenge at Sketches in Thyme..I just LOVE sketches...it gives me that little kick in the pants to get those photos scraped....I used Elizaveta sketch pick and her layout for my inspiration. Todays layout is about my Husky girl Shelby...she is 12 years old and just loves those grandkids....follows them around all night when they come for a visit but when they leave she is beat..I love the look on her face...it seems to say..."when oh when are those kids leaving?"....Thanks for looking...

What I did on my first week of summer vacation....

WOW where did this week go??? Here is a little picture show.
First up the dogs....just give them a bone to pass the day and they are HAPPY..




Then I got my long hair CHOPPED for Relay for Life...



And then time for a little swim..


wow and that was just my first week of summer vacation...what will this week bring...No wonder I am tired...

Finally it's here.....

The first day of my SUMMER vacation...and so far I spent it scrapin..My goal is to get as many pictures scraped as I can...Everyday it seems like I get more & more pictures so I really need to keep up.. I just LOVE this layout..it makes me SMILE..
Anytime someone is eating something little miss Shelby is right there. Look how she is looking at Gabe...her little face is just saying..."I LOVE you"..."please give me a bite" gotta love having dogs & grandkids...Life is good!!!!
Now about now I made this layout..I broke out some paints for this one...First I painted the brown onto some old Grunge board and used it as a stamp...then I hand cut my heart and painted it blue this anchored the photos. Used my Cricut (paper pups)to cut the title and paw print. Simple and to the point..Thanks for stopping by.

The garden is growing...looks like I will have cucumbers in a week...they grow so fast...Schools is in it's last week...it will be great having off for the summer playing with all my scrapin stash...can't wait...Today is PEDS Boomer my theraphy dog and I go to the hospital to visit with the kids..

A page for Hannah

I am adding this page to Hannahs first year album...She was just a few hours old.
School is almost over and my list of summer time to-dos is getting longer and longer...I dont think 2 months off will be enough time....Oh well I can not wait till next week...haviong the whole day to do what ever is going to be great....

HOT.....HUMID..... HUGE.....HAIRY.....HUSKIES.....
Oh and lets not forget HATE...they are not found of this HOT weather with all their HAIR...Any way on to some scrapin business...Frosted Designs it's Friday so it's my turn to do something...Stitching was the challenge. This week I was thumbing through my older photos and came accross this one...It's aunt Nicky (my daughter) holding baby Gabe when we went for photos at Lock Ridge Park. I just love this photo. My stitching is around the hearts to make them pop just a bit. One ot the things I love most about this hobby is that it lets you revisit all these special memories and lets us preserve them for the future. Thank you so much for stoping by.

Yep...second post second layout completed today...my picture pile is getting smaller...well it was till Snapfish comes tomorrow...I did this layout for Brookes album...It is her and her daddy at a baseball game..This challenge was a sketch # 49 over at Sketches in Thyme..

I just LOVE challenge blogs...

I don't know what it is about them but I just LOVE them...Challenge blogs...It gives me the jump start I need to scrap all these photos of the grandkids and my fur babies...Todays layout comes from Bitten by the Bug 2....Clouds were the challenge. I did not have the Pooh & Friends cart. but I had lots of clouds to choose from.

This is Brooke and her Mommy at the "beach" they are lucky to have family who live in DL that they can visit with..Thats it for today now I am off to work on a few more layouts before I go to work.

Finally Tuesday night Dinner......

Tuesday night dinner with the kids is officially moved out to the patio for the summer...This is a layout all about Aubrey...at first she was not to sure about the water especially with her brother Gabe always splashing her...Here she is having fun playing in the water...lots more photos to come and looking forward to a nice summer on the patio..

So good news on this lovely June day...

I was checking out a few of my favorite blogs I visit and I WON the big prize for the month of May...Sketches in Thyme...I am one happy scrappy girl right now....Thats it for today...Not much time to scrap the next few days I am working for a coworker who is out for the week...and the garden needs tending to also.
